Cub Carnival

Spooky Community Village Fundraiser

Through a dynamic, interdisciplinary project, students explored essential academic and social-emotional skills in a meaningful, hands-on way. They practiced counting money by handling real coins and bills, deepening their understanding of math in an authentic context while raising funds for a cause they chose themselves. Students learned about civic engagement by participating in a class vote to select a charity, experiencing firsthand how their voices and actions can make a difference.

In the “Eerie Elixir Lab,” students became young scientists—measuring, mixing, and observing chemical changes as they created colorful, gooey slime to sell. This playful experiment introduced foundational science skills while sparking curiosity and creativity.

As part of the community storefront project, students combined art, early literacy, and entrepreneurship. They designed and decorated their own store displays with handmade signs, price tags, and labels, using inventive spelling to bring their ideas to life. This experience reinforced the power of writing as a tool for communication and self-expression.

Altogether, the project fostered collaboration, creativity, and real-world problem-solving in a way that made learning joyful and purposeful.
